Shreveport, La. - Funeral services for Arthur S. Cross, 47, died here Friday at Willis-nighton Hospital after a brief illness were held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Rev. W. T. Furr, pastor of the Queensborough Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Forst Park Cemetery. Mr. Cross was a retired independent distributor for Foremost Dairies. He was a native of Landburg, Ark. and had resided in Shreveport for the past 13 years. He was a member of the Queensborough Baptist Church and of the American Legion and was vice president of the State Marketing Insurance Co. for Independent Distributors. Mr. Cross is survived by his widow, Mrs. Arthur Cross, Shreveport; four brothers, Wayne C. Cross, Shreveport, John Cross, El Dorado, Ark., Wesley Cross, Bossier City, and Donald Cross, Philadelphia, Pa.; one half-brother, Paul Franks, Dallas, Tex.; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Eddie Cates, Corpus Christi, Tex., Mrs. Les Martin, Willisville, Ark., and Mrs. Charles Henderson, Little Rock, Ark. (El Dorado Times - February 19, 1968)
