Breard, D A, Private Company C 2nd Louisiana Infantry. Enlisted Auguat 14, 1861, Camp Magruder. Rolls from Augugust 1861 - February 1864, state Present. Appears on Roll of Prisoners of War, Captured at Wilderness, Virginia, May 12, 1864, & sent to Belle Plains, Virginia, May 18, 1864. Transferred to Elmira, New York, August 17, 1864, from Point Lookout, Maryland. Paroled at Elmira, New York, February 25, 1865, & forwarded to James River, Virginia for exchange.
