Norwood passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet at the age of 79. He was owner of Kool-Eze Heating and Air-Conditioning of Brusly and a resident and native of Brusly, Louisiana. He was a US Army Veteran. Visiting will be at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm, celebrated by Father Matt Lorrain. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery. He is survived by his daughters Mary Wallace and husband Steven, Carrie Blades and husband Rafe and Rebecca Monsour and husband Michael; son John Blanchard and wife Maggie; special niece Candy Gerace; sister Inez Crowson; brother Edgar Paul Blanchard; grandchildren Brittany Blanchard, Elizabeth, Emma, Elani and Elie Wallace, Landen, Scout and Cooper Blades and Justin, Taylor and Sean Monsour; and great grandson Cotton Anthony Sarradet. Preceded in death by wife, Dolores Adams Blanchard; granddaughter Marie Frances Blanchard; and parents Eli and Edna Gilchrist Blanchard. Pallbearers will be John Blanchard, Justin Monsour, Landen Blades, Earl Sarradet, Ronnie Babin and Edgar Blanchard. Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Monsour and Cooper Blades. Memorial donations may be made to St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly Building Fund and St John the Baptist Bereavement Committee.
