Vincent - October 18, 1925 - August 25, 2008

Mr. Vincent J. Liberto, of Mooringsport, Louisiana, died Monday, August 25, 2008, at Grace Home.
Mr. Liberto was born in 1925, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Liberto served in the United States NAVY in the Asiatic, Pacific and Philippines Liberation; receiving a victory Medal; American Campaign Medal; and two Stars. He played pro-baseball and afterwards, made his career in construction. Mr. Liberto was a construction superintendent for Home Byers Construction and Melvin Bulter Construction. Mr. Liberto retired with a 50 year pin form Carpenter's Local Union #764.
Mr. Liberto was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Angelina Liberto; his wife of 52 years: Bertie W. Liberto; a sister: Minnie Condren; a newphew: Wallace Don Price; and a niece: Glenda Mann.
He is survived by a brother: Charles Liberto; a sister: Josephine Pinto, both of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a sister-in-law: Rita Sue Price; a brother-in-law: Glenn Price, both of Shreveport Louisiana; 16 nieces/nephews; numerous great-and great-great nieces/nephews; and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at RoseNeath Funeral Home in Shreveport, Louisiana. Monsignor J. Carson Lacaze, of the Catherdral of St John Berchmans, officiated the mass.
