Services for Jennie Tibbs Hagan, 88, of Vidalia, who died July 5, 2019 at River Bridge Specialty Hospital, Vidalia, will 1:00 PM on Friday at the Vidalia Convention Center. Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hagan was born Nov. 26, 1930, in Vidalia, the daughter of Montgomery and Lenora Swan Tibbs.

Sister Hagan was a member of the Esther Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star-Prince Hall Affiliation (OES-PHA) for over 65 years. In 2010, Sister Hagan was named District Deputy Grand Matron of the Year of the OES_PHA, Louisiana Jurisdiction. She faithfully served with distinction in the following masonic houses: Rosewood Chapter #65 OES, Fidelity Court #20 Heroines of Jericho, Jennie T. Hagan Order of Amaranth, Theodore T. Herbert #174 Order of Golden Circle, Jaffa Court #158 Daughters AEAONMS, Inc., and Faith Court #10 Order of Cyrenes.

She leaves her legacy of quiet, courageous strength and character to her granddaughters, Tanya L Mitchell of Bowie, Maryland; Jennesia M Primas of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Ernestine Davis (Tracy) of Cartersville, Georgia; son Ernest Ellis (Phyllis) of Ridgecrest, Louisiana; nieces, Carolyn Washington and Joyce Mahaney of San Mateo, California; Velma H Bryant (Carl) of San Diego, California; Maxine A Clemons of Flint, Michigan; Betty A Mason of Saginaw, Michigan; Gloria A. Palmer of San Diego, California; Carnell L Allen (Ernest) of Lake Worth, Florida; Odeal A Bowman of Vidalia, Louisiana; Brenda A Bowman of New Orleans, Louisiana; nephews, Alfred A Tibbs of San Mateo, California; Gene Allen (Bonnie) of Ferriday, Louisiana; son-in-law, William R Primas of Tallahassee, Florida; god-son, James H Singleton, Jr of Chicago, Illinois; god-daughter, Rhonda E Bell of Vidalia, Louisiana; and a host of great nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ernest Hagan; daughter, Earnestine H Primas; parents, Lenora and Montgomery Tibbs, and sister Mary T Brown.
