Services for Ernie Banks, Sr.,60, of Vidalia, LA, who died Sunday, July 9, 2017, at his residence in Vidalia, will be at 11:00 AM, Union Baptist Church, Vidalia, LA, with Rev. Carl Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 PM at the funeral home on Friday.

Mr. Banks was born July 13, 1956 in Vidalia, LA, the son of Jeffery, Sr. and Patsy Cubie Banks.

Ernie Banks was a Deputy Sheriff for almost 30 years for Concordia Parish Sheriff's Department.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leo, Jessie, Sr., Jeffery Banks; three sisters, Idellia Banks, Irma Bell, Elenora Banks.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer B. Banks of Vidalia, LA; two sons, Ernie Banks, Jr. (Brittany Payne), Vidalia, LA, D'Juan Banks (Tenia), Stafford, VA; four daughters, Angela Brown (Jeremy), Ebony Banks, both of Vidalia, LA; Ernertria Banks (Derrick, Sr.), Ferriday, LA, Glenda Anderson KaShantis), Hendon, VA; three brothers, Danny Banks (Denise), Dallas, TX, Franklin Banks (Betty), Renard Banks (Sylvia), both of Natchez, MS; five sisters, Bettye Sigust (Arthur), Sharon Banks (Rolando), Morjorie Williams (Charles, Sr.), Barbara Lyles (James Ross), all of Vidalia, LA, Helen Lyles (Jonathan), Dallas, TX; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
