Lafayette: A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 10:00AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lafayette for Mrs. Mary Catherine Tindal.
Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery following the funeral.
Mary Catherine Tindal was born on March 9, 1935 in Grand Coteau, Louisiana to the late; Charles and Gladys Eaglin. Catherine departed this life on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the age of 84. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Catherine served as a cook for over 50 years, a faithful servant of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies and Knights of Peter Claver #166. Catherine retired from Our Lady of Lourdes Childcare Center. Catherine lived a happy full life, she enjoyed traveling, family gatherings and she never met a stranger.
Catherine leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters; Elaine (Calvin) Lawrence of Orlando, FL., Myra (Philmore) Garth of Port Arthur, TX., and Angela (Mark) Guillory of Eunice, LA., one son; Robert (Barbara) Asberry, Jr., of Houston, TX., one brother; Henry (Mary Ann) Eaglin, Sr., of Lafayette, LA., 10 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband; Elijah A. Tindal, her son; Milton Eaglin, five brothers; Ignatius Lloyd, Philip, Edward, Thomas, and three sisters; Mary Ann, Helen and Anna Mae.
The family asks that viewing be observed between the hours of 8:00AM and 9:30AM at Kinchen Funeral Home in Lafayette.
