Lafayette: Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1:30 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church for Priscilla Mae Franklin Laday age 81, who departed this life peacefully at home surrounded by family.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Rev. F. Hampton Davis III will officiate the services.
Priscilla Laday was born on September 6, 1936, in Melville, Louisiana to Henry, Sr. and Outtie Mae Dixon Franklin
Mourning her departure, yet cherishing her memories is her children, three sons, Lawrence Laday, Aswell Laday, Jr. and Perry Laday, Sr., all of Lafayette, La. Five daughters, Rita Castille, Martha (Steve George) Laday, Lucille (Alvin) George, Deborah Coleman, all of Lafayette, La. Janice (Simon) Melancon of Scott, La., three sisters in law, Alberta Tezeno, Ella Cormier and Earline Leday, 29 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband of 65 years, Aswell Laday Sr., three infant children Abigail, Herbert and Lionel Laday, brother, Henry Franklin, Jr., parents Henry, Sr. and Outtie Mae Dixon Franklin, grandparents Sam and Molly Mack Dixon, In-laws Ozean and Angelina Guillory Leday,
Viewing will be held from 10am – 1:15 pm on Saturday August 4, 2018 at Kinchen Funeral Home.
