Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Elvie Flugence, 73, who died November 6, 2016 at her residence.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, James Flugence; two sons, Jason (Detra) Derousselle of Lafayette, LA, Kevin (Rose) Derousselle of Grand Coteau, LA; one daughter, Shayla (Maurice) Jordan of The Woodlands, TX; four grandchildren, Kimberly Francis, Jason M. Derousselle, Corly M. Jordan and Madisyn Jordan; two brothers, Michael Rubin of Port Arthur, TX, Clifton Rubin of Lafayette, LA; four sisters, Ella (Orell) Daigle, Juanita (Murphy) Sam, Dorothy Sam, Catherine Hopkins of Lafayette, LA and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raoul Rubin; her mother, the former Elina Angelle; three sisters, Myrtis Johnson, Silvursia Edmond and Wilma Chevalier; two brothers, Roy Rubin and Sydney Rubin.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Syrie Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m.
