Lafayette-Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:30am at Kinchen Funeral Home in Lafayette for Earl J Joseph Sr.
Earl J Joseph Sr. husband of Monica Joseph was born on June 3, 1952 in Lafayette, LA to the late Gertie (Arceneaux) and Mitchell Joseph Jr. He departed this life April 29, 2016 at University Hospital in Lafayette, LA.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years and their seven children: Earl Joseph Jr (Ashley), Natasha (Cruce) Brooks, Rachelle Joseph, Jaqueline Joseph (Jarvonus), Carl Joseph ( Moniesha), Jarvis Joseph (Candace) and Leon Joseph(Brandie).
He was also blessed w/ 16 beautiful grandchildren: Kiya, J'Ryeil, Asia, Earl, Taylon, Armani, Mercedes, Kaylie, Toni, Dylan, Aloni, Earlmya, Jaiden, Gavin, Alyssa, and Bella. Earl leaves remaining family to morn his death brothers Steven Joseph, Thomas Joseph, and Jimmy (Monique) Joseph, brother-in-law Grady (Vanessa) Laxey, and sister-in-laws Dorothy (Mae-Mae) Joseph, Madonna (Norman) Cook along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Earl was preceded in death by his mother Gertie Arceneaux-Joseph, his father Mitchell Joseph Jr., mother-in-law Geneva Laxey, brother Leonard Joseph, sister Marva Marie Joseph-Criego, brother-in-law Grayling Laxey, sister-in-law Anne Joseph, first cousins Chester Simpson and Joseph Alexander, maternal grandparents Lucille (Andrus) and Leonance Arceneaux, paternal grandparents Florance and Mitchell Joseph Sr., Aunts Eveline Andrus, Laura Alfred, Cecil Andrus Arceneaux, Hilda Senegal, and Uncles Robert Andrus, Junis Andrus, Felix (Shy-Wee) Andrus.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 7:00am to 11:00am at Kinchen Funeral Home.
