CARENCRO - Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel for Lucille Broussard, age 60, the former Lucille Gilbert, who passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at CHI St. Luke's Health-Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston, TX.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.
Survivors include three sons, Jermaine Broussard and his fiancée, Samantha Thomas, James Broussard, Jr. and his girlfriend, Donriel Gabriel, and Marcus Broussard and his girlfriend, Shekena Prescod; one daughter, Jennifer Gilbert; six sisters, Lois Gilbert, Mary Ann Gilbert, Jacqeline Roper, Helen Savoy, Bobbie Jean Woods and Julia Ann Bennett; and four grandchildren, Brennan Broussard, Davion Thomas, Savannah Broussard and Sean Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Broussard, Sr.; her parents, Edgar Gilbert and the former Julia Prejean; two brothers, Alvin Gilbert and Joseph Gilbert; and two sisters, Yvonne Carter and Mary Celestine.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday until service time on Saturday.
