A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 for Rotanna M Crouchet who passed away June 26, 2017. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Fr Hampton Davis will conduct the service.

Rotanna Matthew Crouchet, the sixth child (out of eleven), of James and Louise Charles Crouchet, was born February 25, 1952 in Lafayette, Louisiana.

As a youth Rotanna attended St Antoine and . Wallace James Elementary. The high school he attended was Paul Breaux High.

In 1970 Rotanna entered the United States Army. He served for four years and was honorably discharged in 1974. After returning home from the military he work around Lafayette until he moved to Los Angeles, Calfornia in 1977. While in Los Angeles he met and married Cristina Mercy Crouchet, March 1980. Rotanna and Mercy had their son Donovan in January 1982. Rotanna and Mercy divorced, but remained close friends until he died; often talking several times a week.

Rotanna returned to Lafayette around early the 90's. At the time if his death he was employed for Walmart, Store #534. He had been with Walmart for over 20 plus years.

He is survived by sons Hayward Martin of Lafayette, Donovan Crouchet of Chicago, Jerimiah Brown of Lafayette, Cristina Crouchet of California, Natalie Crouchet; companion Annette Broussard, her daughter Dawanna (Malcolm) Lemelle and sons, Christopher Journet, Dwight and Dwayne Broussard; sisters, Mary (Lonnie) Keith and Jessica Crouchet both of California, Ann Crouchet and Dabney Landor both of Lafayette; brothers, all of Lafayette Michael,Ronald, Leo Patrick, Emile Crouchet; nine grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded by James and Louise Crouchet; brother, Roland Crouchet; sister Linda Gayle Prejean; grand - parents, Amos and Camilia Charles, Alfred and Hortance Crouchet; nephews Eddie, Irvin and Leevis Prejean; brother-in-law Clayton Landor.

Visitation will be held Saturday July 8, 2017, 7AM-10:30 AM at Kinchen Funeral Home, Inc.
