LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Philbert Joseph Sam, Sr, 60, who died March 16, 2012 at his home.Services will be conducted by Fr Thomas James, SVD, VE. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
His is survived by son, Philbert J Sam, Jr of Houston, TX; mother, Mary Sam; brothers, Davis (Bernadine) Sam, Jr, Mitchell, Darcey, Michael, Carl (Debbie) Sam, all of Lafayette, LA; sisters, Cynthia (Felton) Batiste, Sharlene (Ernest) Viltz, Marlene Viltz, Elsie (Rickey) Blackwell, Angela Sam, Linda Sam of Lafayette, LA; the mother of his son, Verna Sam and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by father, Davis Sam, Sr and granddaughter, Jade Gardner Sam.
