Funeral Services for Joseph John Sias, 62, who died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, at Kinchen Funeral Home (Lafayette, LA). Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Sias is survived by his daughters Yolanda Sias (Jody) and Tonja Sias, of Lafayette; his son Joseph John Sias Jr. (Ivy) of Opelousas and five grandchildren, Junavion Sias, Byron Jr. and A’myrie Laxey, Ja’Loni and Maycie Broussard, all of Lafayette; his sisters Shirley Helaire of Lafayette, Geraldine Broussard, Carolyn Despanie, Janice Norman, and Delores Daniel of San Francisco, CA; his brothers William “Lee” Chevalier of Baton Rouge, Raymond Despanie and Jerry Sias of Lake Charles; Clarence Sias, Clifton Despanie Jr., Ross Despanie and Thomas Despanie of San Francisco, CA.
Mr. Sias was preceded in death by his father Clifton Despanie Sr., his mother Mildred Sias-Chevalier, and his brothers Joseph Alex Chevalier, Nathan Sias and Alan “Rocky” Despanie.
