LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Pius X Catholic Church for Leroy Augustine Vallier, 80, who died on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.
Mass will be officiated by Father Campeaux.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Madelon Ezola Vallier; his daughter, Lorraine Guilbeaux-Davies ( David) of San Francisco, CA; his son, Elroy "James"(Katrina) of Dallas, TX; his son, Kendall (Bridgit) of Lafayette, LA; his daughter, Paula Fontenot (Tony) of Houston, TX; son, Clarence (Victoria) of Lafayette, LA; his daughter, Antoinette Goodie (Jonathan) of Abbeville, LA; and Kammey Winters (Nolan) of Lafayette, LA; 17 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Thelma Minnard of Beaumont, TX and Ada Lee of Cade, LA, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Vallier and Edmonia Landry Vallier and two sisters,Velma Minnard and Alma Celestine and his brother, Lloyd Vallier.
Mr. Vallier, Leroy, Lee, Daddy, and Papa's warm spirit and wonderful smile will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May Leroy Vallier's soul "Rest in PEACE"
Visitation will be held at Syrie Funeral Home Friday, July 29th, 2011 starting at 7:00 a.m. until time of service.
A rosary will begin at 10:30 A.M.
