LAFAYETTE - Funeral service for will be held Saturday February 23, 2013 11am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Mr. Rufus Colbert.
Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery.
Rufus Colbert was born on January 18, 1953 in Lafayette, LA to the late George and Eugenia Colbert. Rufus entered into eternal life on February 12, 2013 in Crowley, LA. Rufus became bapiatized at an early age and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Northside High School in 1972.
Rufus will leave to cherish his most joyful memories to his sister Betty Guidry of Beaumont, TX; brothers Arlton and Dinah Colbert of Missouri City,TX and Joseph Benjamin of Lafayette, LA and numerous nieces,nephews, relatives and friends.
Rufus was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eugenia Colbert, brother Roland Colbert, and sisters Louanna Colbert, Georgianna Colbert, Hilda Bernard, Aurelia Comeax, Audrey (George) O'Neil, and Beverly (Alvin) Felix.
Visitation will be held on Saturday February 23, 2013 from 7AM to 10:30AM at Kinchen Funeral Home of Lafayette,LA.
