Lafayette, LA - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at l:00 pm on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 905 Surrey Street, in Lafayette, La, for Theresa V. Perrio.
Theresa V. Perrio was granted her angel wings on Thursday May 24th, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Theresa had touched in some way throughout her memorable life.
She was born May 2, 1949, in Lafayette, La to Eva Arceneaux and Joseph Francis, Sr. While she grew up in Lafayette, she spent many of her young adult years in Houston, Tx working in the finance industry. She returned to Lafayette in the early 1980s reconnecting with the community she loved so much as a child.
She held several occupations such as a finance officer, bank teller, and floral associate at Home Depot's garden center. Her interests were endless yet she devoted much of her time and energy to baking cakes and blessing everyone she knew with her delicious creations.
She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Francis Sr., her brother Joseph Chester Arceneaux, and her mother Eva Arceneaux.
Left behind to celebrate her life are her children Lester (Antonia) Arceneaux and Valarie L. Veal both of Lafayette; six grandchildren: Brandon, Averia, Tresa, Robert, Ranson, and Alaysha; her brothers Joseph Herbert Arceneaux of St. Martinville, La., and Joseph Francis Jr. of Marietta, Ga; her two sisters Georgia "Ann" Edmond and Eola "Gertie" Smith, both of Lafayette; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
