LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Church of God in Christ for Damien Rodriquez Watkins, 28, who was murdered on November 1, 2012.
Services will be conducted by Elder Benny Druilhet.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Ella and Alton Kilchrist (former Ella Watkins), Dorsielle George; fiancé, Sparkle Henry; son, Connor P. Watkins; daughters, Chloe' A. Watkins, Colynn G. Watkins and Damiya R. Glaude; brothers, Trinity (Dena) Kilchrist, Alex Randle and Darnell Randle; sister, Kaya J. Kilchrist; maternal grandparents, Rev. Charles (Nellie) Watkins, Sr.; uncles, Charles (Pauline) Watkins, Jr., John C. Kilchrist, Robert (Michelle) Kilchrist, Perry (Beverly) George, Wilson (Genivieve) George, Roman George; aunts, Sylvia W. Richard, Catherine George, Melanie G. Benoit; father and mother-in-law, Felton and Faye Henry (who treated him as their son); brothers-in-law, Ronnie Henry, Christian Henry; sisters-in-law, Feltina Henry and Jasmine Henry; two nephews, Zion and Zanden Kilchrist and a host of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bernice Andrews Watkins; paternal grandparents, Calvin and Nellie Kilchrist, Wilson and Edna George.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of service.
