Funeral service will be held on Friday December 13, 2013 11AM at St Pauls Catholic Church for Mr. Gilbert Sampay who died December 09, 2013.
Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery. Deacon Lloyd will conduct the services.
Mr. Sampay is survived by loving companion of 25 years Dosella Griffin of Lafayette, LA; one son Justin George of Breaux Bridge, LA; five daughters Franchester George and Alkeia Arceneaux both of Lafayette, LA, Candice George of Breaux Bridge, LA, Shannon Portatlis of Lafayette, LA, Step-daughter, Vanessa Sam of Breaux Bridge, LA; Four brothers, Donald Sampay, Wilson Jr, Willie, and John Sampay all of Lafayette, LA; five sisters Delores Arceneaux of Lafayette, LA, Suzie Sampay of Baton Rouge, LA, Barbara Ledet, Jeanie Sampay, and Diane Sampay all of Lafayette, LA; 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of family friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by parents Wilson Sampay and Mazie Williams.
Vistiation will be held on Friday December 13, 2013 7am until the time of service at Kinchen Funeral Home of Lafayette, LA.
Kinchen Funeral Home of 1011 N St. Antoine St. Lafayette, LA 70501 is in charge of arrangements.
