August 29, 1967 - January 27, 2017
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00AM at St Paul Catholic Church for Joseph Patrick (Pat) Harris who passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. The beloved Joseph Patrick Harris entered this world August 29, 1967 to Joseph Ashton Harris and Mary Joyce Hamilton-Harris. Although Pat never married, he fathered Ciera Williams-Newman, Cannon Williams, and LaKindra Harris. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, Luxury and Javion Williams (Ciera); father, J Ashton Harris; sisters, Sherry Hamilton-Gobert, and Martha Harris-Gale (Ronnie Gale Jr) and cousin – brothers Joseph D Hamilton and Jerome Hamilton, nieces, Sharica Hamilton (Sherry) and Kinly Gale (Martha). Pat's paternal aunts Theresa and Mary Lou Harris and uncles Paul Harris Jr and Allen Harris. Pat has a host of cousins that were more like brothers and sisters, Laura Hamilton-Griffin, Mathilda Hamilton-Johnson, Rachel Hamilton-George, Joe and Jerome Hamilton. We cannot leave out ""man's best friend"", his dogs, Coffee and all of Coffee's offspring. Pat loved life, family, friends, music and dogs! He always had a smile on his face. Most can only dream of smiling when hurting, but he did it best. No matter how down, he was never out until God came to take him home. He fought with multiple conditions for more than 20 years; it was time for him to rest. He will be reunited in heaven with his mother, Mary Joyce Hamilton-Harris, paternal grandparents Paul Harris Sr and Annie Mae George-Harris; maternal grandparents, Richard Hamilton and Evelyn Chaisson- Hamilton; paternal uncles Shirley, Carron, and Frank Harris and paternal aunt Mary Harris-George; maternal uncles J Wallace, J Warren, J Horace, J Orin Hamilton; maternal aunts Sable Hamilton-Bruno, Mable Hamilton-Simon, Mildred, Doris, and Hilda Hamilton. Last, but not least, his closest childhood friend, who stood by his side through thick and thin, Wendell Despanie aka "Tramp".
