LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 1:30 pm at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church for Bertha Sias Gallien, 85, who died July 8, 2014 at Belle Teche Nursing Home in New Iberia, Louisiana.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs Gallien was a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and worked as a cook for over 30 years. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Altar Ladies and volunteered as a grandparent at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Mourning her departure yet cherishing her memories include her sons Wilton (Theresa) Gallien, Joseph (Barbara) Gallien, Kervin (Sandra), Darrell (Nancy) Gallien, Leroy Gallien; daughters, Joyce Gallien (Allen Wiltz), Wanda Angelle, Carolyn (Willie) Angelle, Carol Gallien; 37 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends who were dear to her.
She was preceded in death by husband, Claude Gallien, Sr; sons, Claude Jr, Leonard, James Sr and Willie Gallien; grandson, Kaylen Gallien; parents Anna and Albert Sias; brother Sentry Sias and son-in-law, Larry Angelle.
