A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Edmonia Marie Adams Friday, July 11, 2014, 11:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She will be buried in Calvary Cemetery, Lafayette, Louisiana. Edmonia Marie Adams was born November 28, 1967 to Joseph Sampy and Mary Eunice Siner in Lafayette, Louisiana. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, Edmonia ("Monie") slipped away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was a graduate of Northside High School-Class of 1985. She was a dedicated wife and mother and loved her family unconditionally. Monie lived life to the fullest and enjoyed having fun. For the last 14 years she dedicated her love and compassion to the children at Butterflies Preschool. Her jovial, fun-loving spirit will be deeply treasured by all those who knew her. Memories will be cherished forever by her husband, Leonard Adams of Lafayette, Louisiana; children, Lenordo Adams and Breiona Adams, both of Lafayette, Louisiana; sister, Cora Siner-Mills-Dawson (Leon); a host of step-brothers and step-sisters; god-son, Amari Malveaux; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends and neighbors who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Sampy and Mary E Siner; mother and father in law, Harry and Julia Adams; maternal grandparents, Erick and Agnes Chaisson; paternal grandmother Aline Bernard; sister Mary Ann Thomas; aunts Bernice Zenon and Mary Lee Zenon; uncles Albert "Bubby" Siner and Albert Zenon.
