ST. MARTINVILLE - Services will be conducted for Mr. Louis "Papa Lou" Edward Lastrappe Sr., age 59, at11 a.m. on Wednes-day, December 21, 2011, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Agustinus Seran S.V.D. officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church from 7 a.m. until time of services.
Rosary will be at the church at 9 a.m.
A native and lifelong resident of St. Martinville, he passed at Our Lady of Lourdes Friday, December 16, 2011, at 2 p.m.
He was employed at Fruit of the Loom for 28 years and Baker Hughes for three years.
He is survived by his wife, Sharlot N. Lastrappe; mother, Lillian Lastrappe; five sons Kenric Lastrappe Sr., Jordan Lastrappe, Louis Lastrappe Jr., Renardal Narcisse and Roderick Narcisse; one daughter Dyris Lastrappe; one sister Debra Ryes; and four grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lester Lastrappe; and paternal grandmother, Gladys "Goodmama" Lastrappe.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Lastrappe, Jerel Lastrappe, Jevonnie Jones, Willie Aubry, Kelvis Narcicsse and Kavin Lindon.
Honorary pallbearers Kenric Lastrappe Sr., Jordan Lastappe, Louis Lastrappe Jr., Alvin Ryes II, Michael Mercier, Dwayne Sloan, Floyd Jones Sr., Leon Narcisse, Jerome Narcisse, Clarence "Scoby" Jones and Oliver Jones.
The Golden Meadows Funeral Home of St. Martinville in charge of arrangements.
