From Louisiana Archives ~ Kling, Gabriel, Private Captain Landry's Company (Donaldsonville Artillery) Louisiana Artillery. Enlisted September 13, 1861, Donaldsonville, Louisiana. Present on all Rolls to December, 1864. Appears on list without caption, date or certificate signed by R Prosper Landry, Captain Commanding Donaldsonville Artillery. This list was an enclosure in a letter from the A G O, Washington, D C, to Brevet Brigadier General Hoffman Commissary General of Prisoners, dated June 19, 1865, of which the following is an extract: I transmit herewith the Rolls of Prisoners of War of the men of Lee's and Johnson's armies, 1124
