Sidney Lewis Farrell, Sr born December 17, 1925 passed away on Wednesday January 27, 2016. Known as Pere to his family, Buddy to his friends and Mr Sidney to those who took care of him. He is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Ann Caire Farrell, his parents, Evelyn Lewis Farrell and Robert Milton Farrell and his sister Evelyn F Eaton. Pere is survived by his six children: Patricia F Favalora, Gerry F Matranga (Tony), Sidney L Farrell, Jr (Paula), Reuben T Farrell (Robin), Annette F Klein (Harold), and Kay F Higginbotham (Randy). He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Lake Lawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM and burial will follow in Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Angela Merici Church at 901 Beverly Garden Dr, Metairie, Louisiana 70002 or Academy of the Sacred Heart, 4521 St Charles Avenue, New Orleans, Louisiana 70115.
