Thomas Williams Robinson passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at his home in Shreveport. A graveside memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2013, at Greenwood Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Chris Curre.

Mr. Robinson was born March 30, 1926, from a pioneer family of Caddo Parish. At the age of 13 years, he became an Eagle Scout in the Norwela Council - Boy Scouts of America. He was a graduate of C. E. Byrd High School, attended Centenary College of Louisiana, Oklahoma A&M and graduated from Louisiana State University where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order Fraternity.

During World War II, he served 3 years with the Third Army under Gen. George S. Patton, European Theater Operations, in Normandy, France. He worked in the building business over 47 years, was a member of the Associated General Contractors, and retired in 2002. His social memberships included the Demoiselle Club and the Cotillion Club. Mr. Robinson was a long-standing member of the First Presbyterian Church where he taught Sunday School for many years.

Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Clay Robinson and Marguerite Williams Robinson, and his brother, Howell Clay Robinson, Jr. Survivors include his loving wife, of 62 years, Ann Miles Robinson; his son, Howell Clay Robinson, III; daughter, Lisa Robinson Andress and husband, Knox; grandchildren, Dr. William Knox Andress, Elizabeth Ann Andress, Emily Ann Robinson, and Martin Thomas Robinson; nephews, N.C. McGowen, Robert M. McGowen and wife, Cheryl; niece, Jeanie McGowen Middleton and husband, Chris along with numerous grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Seborn Woods for his longtime friendship and compassionate care. Great appreciation is given to special caregivers Betty Moore, Ruby Morgan, Rosalyn Mitchell, and Shunta Marshall.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport, 900 Jordan, Shreveport, La 71101, The First United Methodist Church of Shreveport, 500 Common Street, Shreveport, LA 71101 or donor's charity of choice .
