September 22, 1930 - November 12, 2016
Mr. Darrell Leonard Moyer, 86, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Northwest LA War Veterans Home after a brief illness. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 16, at Osborn Funeral Home. Graveside services will begin at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, November 16, at Greenwood Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Rowland.
Darrell was a native of Harrisburg, Illinois and a resident of Shreveport for 66 years. He was formerly a member of the Masons, the Exchange Club and the Caddo Parish Auxiliary Deputy organization.
Darrell was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Virginia. He is survived by his two daughters, Johnette Lindsey and Helen Leonard; one son, Len Moyer; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, Jerry and Charles Moyer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Moyer, George Daniel and Mike Lindsey.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Northwest LA War Veterans Home.
