SHREVEPORT, LA - A memorial service celebrating the life of Dave B. Vosbury will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Pat Rovell.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Funeral Home.
Dave was born January 17, 1930 in Oil City, LA and passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at his residence. He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Dave served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy in the Korean Conflict. A graduate of St. John's High School, he received his B.A. Degree in Geology from the University of Houston. Dave was a swimming pool contractor.
His parents, Billy and Peggy Davidson Vosbury, and brother, John Vosbury, preceded Dave in death. Beautiful memories will be shared by his sons, Robin E. Vosbury and fiancee', Karla Spraggins of Shreveport, LA and David Keith Vosbury and wife, Nicole of Doyline, LA; daughter, Mary Beth Thompson of Humble, TX; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
