SHREVEPORT, LA - Services celebrating the life of Stanley E. "Stan" Rambin will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2010, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Officiating will be Father Brendan Pelphrey. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Stoner Avenue.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening at Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel. A Trisagion will follow at 7:00 p.m.
Stan was born July 31, 1951 in Goss, LA and passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
A graduate of Captain Shreve High School and LSU-Baton Rouge, he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a true Tiger fan! Stan was a man of many talents. He was the owner and operator of Louisiana Building Products. Stan was involved in several organizations, AHEPA, Shreveport-Bossier Astronomical Society, and PADI, just to name a few. He was known for his vast array of knowledge and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Stan was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed the company of family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.
His parents, Roy and Pauline Rambin, and son, Robin Mathew Rambin, preceded Stan in death. Beautiful memories will be shared by his wife, Maxie Wade Rambin, and daughter, Taylor Nicole Rambin, both of Shreveport, LA.
Honoring Stan, as pallbearers will be Kenneth Phillips, John Gaydos, Michael Morrison, Jeremy Brigham, Joseph Cheshire and Tony Phillips.
Memorials may be made to Icon Fund at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1719 Creswell Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71101.
