Funeral services for Margo McCullin will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Dubach with Rev. Greg Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in Mineral Springs Cemetery under direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Jerilyn Margo McCullin (née Martin) of Dubach, LA was born on August 29th, 1953, and entered her heavenly home on April 19th, 2019 following a lengthy illness.

Margo grew up in Ruston, attending Ruston High School and Louisiana Tech University. After serving as a drum major in the Band of Pride and completing her first degree at Tech, she worked as an oil secretary for Schlumberger in Shreveport. Margo then returned to school, earned her nursing degree, and began work in her true calling as a registered nurse. During her nursing career, Margo’s talent, determination, and fierce compassion earned her a reputation as one of the very best in the profession.

In her spare time, Margo enjoyed being outside in her flower bed and garden and working with her hands on various projects. She is fondly remembered for her lively and spirited nature, and above all else, for being a devoted friend.

Margo was preceded in death by her parents Gerold “Jerry” and Janet Martin of Mineral Springs, sister, Shelby Jean Martin, and nephew Jimbo Martin. Left behind to honor Margo’s memory are her son, Cody McCullin and girlfriend Bryanne Stanberry of Ruston and brother, Jimmie Martin and wife Jerri Ann of Mineral Springs.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Dan Martin, Dalton Martin, Peyton Martin, AJ Martin, Philip Billberry, and Randy Frasier. Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Martin and Wallace Martin.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, April 22, 2019 at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Dubach.
