*On October 2, 1922, General of the Armies, John J Pershing, met with 140 World War I Reserve Officers at the Willard Hotel in Washington, DC & founded the Reserve Officers Association of the United States "to support a military policy for the United States that will provide adequate national security, & to promote the development & execution thereof."
