Jenny Giovenco Dunne passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at the age of 83. She was the loving mother of Margie Hebert (Kermit), Michael Dunne, Sr (Nancy), Loretta James (Bill), Vera Sutton (Harold), Josie Frank (Gordon), Jenny Fontanille (Juan Uribe), and Ralph Dunne, Jr (Evelyn). She is survived by 21 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was the former wife of the late Ralph Dunne, Sr. She was the daughter of the late Peter John Giovenco, Sr and Marguerite Lala Giovenco and the sister of Tony Giovenco (Carol), Carrie Mathews (Thomas), Peter John Giovenco, Jr (Gina), and the Pascal Giovenco (USMC) and Andrea Giovenco.

Jenny was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Gretna. She was retired from Winn Dixie and McDonalds and most recently employed by Gretna Bingo Palace. Her joys in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Bingo, Keno, and working puzzles. She was high-spirited and had a great sense of humor. She was full of unconditional love and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero at 1 PM Sunday, August 21, 2011. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 1 PM before the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Jenny Dunne to Society of the Little Flower, 1313 Frontage Road, Darien, Illinois 60559 or your favorite charity.
