Graveside services for Ruthie Mae Haddox, 80, of Jefferson, TX formerly of Farmerville, LA, were held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery, Farmerville, LA with Rev. Billy Taylor officiating.

Mrs. Haddox passed away Sunday, April 8, 2012, after a lengthy illness. She was a retired certified nurse's aide. Ruthie began working at Dr. Henry's Clinic and Hospital before her girls were out of school. Later, she worked at Norris-Booth Clinic and Hospital, and then as Dr. Booth's office nurse at his clinic. She was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and friend. Ruthie put the needs and happiness of her family and friends above her own. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by Husbands, Sidney T. "Hopper" Johnson, Davis Craighead, and John Haddox; two sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Janie McCay and husband Bill of Jefferson, TX, Judy Haney and husband David of West Monroe, Margaret Chaffee and husband Terry of Muncie, IN, and Amanda Craighead; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, brothers, W. L. Miles and Paul Todd; sister, Betty Todd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
