Funeral services for Joe Dell Manasco will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, July 15, 2019 at Rock Corner Baptist Church in Dubach, LA with Rev. Larry Bullock officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Corner Cemetery under direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston, LA.
Joe served in the U. S. Army as a paratrooper and really enjoyed talking about his experiences about jumping out of airplanes. He was store and regional manager of Fred’s Dollar Store for many years. Joe liked to work in the yard and his garden and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Even though he had mixed dementia, he retained sparks of himself to the end. He was a member of Rock Corner Baptist Church.
Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nell Manasco of Ruston; daughter, Carla Jean Manasco Coker of Ruston; son, Kurt Manasco and wife Courtney of Rockwall, TX; three grandchildren; Joshua Coker and fiancé Leah Dowda of Little Rock, AR, Christina Manasco of Rockwall, TX and Dean Manasco of College Station, TX and many nieces and nephews and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Joshua Coker, Dean Manasco, Jimmy McCorkle, Jody Hoenke, Eddie Simmons and Jimmy Strawbridge. Honorary pallbearers are Deacons of Rock Corner Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM, Monday until service time at the Church.
