November 3, 1928 - November 12, 2016
A celebration of life for Stephen A. Randall, age 88 of Mineral Springs, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Rock Corner Baptist Church, 824 Rock Corner Rd. Dubach, LA 71235 with Bro. Gary Massey and Bro. Kyle Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Corner Cemetery under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. A visitation with the family will be from 12:00 PM until service time at the church.
Mr. Randall was born November 3, 1928 in Casa, AR and died November 12, 2016 in Ruston, LA. He was a member of Rock Corner Baptist Church. Mr. Randall was preceded in death by his parent: Lee and Nancy Southall Randall; a grandson: James “Odie” Lilley; two brothers: Jimmy “J.T.” Randall and Kenneth Randall; three sister: Helen Randall Slayden, Cortez Randall Mitchell Carruth and Verbie Randall McCartney.
Mr. Randall is survived by his wife of 61 years: Macel “Obelene” Bryan Randall; two daughters: Brenda Randall Brazzel and husband Sherwood and Donna Randall Lilley and husband Gary; four grandchildren: Stephanie Brazzel, Christopher Brazzel, Randall Lilley, Jessica Lilley Oliver and husband Grant; four great grandchildren: Hunter Caskey, Emmalee Brazzel, Delanee Brazzel and Jackson Brazzel; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mr. Randall loved God, family and country. He served in the Korean War and was very proud to have served. He retired from Wade Prison in Homer, LA. He loved living on Lake Claiborne and being able to fish every day. Mr. Randall moved to Mineral Springs in 1997, and he and his wife began traveling the United States until Mrs. Randall’s health prevented future travels. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. That love and devotion was extended to his nieces and nephews. Nothing made him happier that spending time with family. He had a great love for his family, and they had a great love for him. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening and traveling.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Christopher Brazzel, Randall Lilley, Grant Oliver, Edward Brown, T. J. Cranford and Sid Billberry.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to those at the following facilities that showed great care and compassion for Mr. Randall during his illness: Northern Louisiana Medical Center, LifeCare, Princeton Place and our special sitters that loved and cared for him. Also, we would like to thank family members that have helped care for him and the outpouring of love and care extended from friends and family.
