December 15, 1842 - July 13, 1924
He enlisted on September 29, 1861 at Camp Moore, Louisiana, as a Private. The Company Muster Roll for January-February 1863 listed him as the 2nd Corporal. On September 20, 1863, he was captured at the Battle of Chickamagua. He arrived at the Military Prison at Louisville, Kentucky on October 1, 1863, and on October 2, 1863 was sent to Camp Douglas, Illinois as a Prisoner of War. His name appeared on a list of Prisoners of War at Camp Douglas on October 2, 1863. His name later appeared on a list of Prisoners of War discharged from Camp Douglas on June 14, 1865.
