KeiLei Elizabeth Ryan, age 15, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, as the result of an accident. Born Aug. 23, 1993, Kei Lei was a vibrant and outgoing teen who loved life and was determined to live it to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, talking on her cell phone, going to the movies, listening to music and playing on the computer.
Kei Lei will be sadly missed by her grandparents (adoptive parents), Richard and Elizabeth "Cookie" Ryan of Bogalusa; her mother, Kristi Trayor of Gulfport, Miss.; her father, Michael Ellis of San Angelo, Texas; half-brothers and sisters: Aniya Gist and Jaden Edwards of Gulfport and Cheyenne Ellis and Sierra Ellis of Winters, Texas; and her paternal grandfather, Jim Ellis of San Angelo.
She will also be mourned by her aunt and uncle, Dawn and Wayne Green, and cousins, Allan, Austen, Aimee and Amber Green, all of Winters; uncle and aunt, Jim and Ximaena Ryan, and cousins Thomas and Kathryn Ryan of Baton Rouge; uncle and aunt, Robert and Marlene Ryan of Fredericksburg, Texas; uncle and aunt, Eric and Amy Moree of Killeen, Texas; and uncle James Moree of Cedar Park, Texas.
She is also survived by her great aunt, Jackie Lou Lee of Rockwall, Texas; great-uncle and aunt, Robert and Rhonda Cook and cousins, Aaron and Kevin Cook of Winters; great-uncle, Johnny Cook and cousins, Logan and Adam of San Angelo, Texas; great-uncle and aunt, Marvin and Shirley Cook of Amarillo, Texas; great-aunt, Mary Ellen Ryan of Cedar Park, Texas; and great-aunt and uncle, Adonna and Jim Moree of Cedar Park.
Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 27 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Thomas Cemetery.
