Mr. Kelley went to his heavenly home on August 13, 2020. Mr. Kelley enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, watching baseball and westerns. He loved his church, Mt. Sterling Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. He was employed by Lion Oil Company in El Dorado as a printer from 1956~1979. When the print shop closed, he transferred to the pipeline division from 1979~1993. While at Lion Oil, he started his own print company, Kelley Printing, and just recently closed it. After retirement, he became Editor and Treasurer of Louisiana Baptist Builder for the Mt. Calvary Association. Mr. Kelley was a proud United States Veteran, serving in the United States Navy for 8 years. He served as a Naval Photographer for four years and four years in the United States Naval Reserve.
Mr. Kelley was preceded in death by his parents, Sircie & Lillie Kelley; two brothers, Leonard Kelley and O.B. Kelley; and daughter-in-law, Mary Kelley.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 64 years, Janette Kelley; one son, Alan Kelley (Karen); two daughters, Susan Noles (Gary) and Ginger Murphey (Toby); one brother, Herman Kelley; five grandchildren, Rachael Lary (Ben), Nathan Kelley (Tracey), Brandon Noles, Shelby Murphey and Riley Murphey; two great-grandchildren, Jake Lary and Emma Lary; numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
