August 6, 1950 - October 9, 2017
Ricky Pilgreen 67, of Monroe, formerly of Bernice died Monday October 9, 2017. He was born in Bernice August 6, 1950 and was a graduate of Bernice High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit Newton Pilgreen Sr. and Elvyn Grafton Pilgreen, two sisters Betty Carolyn Stewart and Virginia Pilgreen. He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Tony Lynn Stewart.
Ricky worked for several years as a voting machine custodian in Union and Morehouse Parishes. He was a dedicated and loving caregiver for his parents and his sisters. He loved his family very much.
He is survived by a brother Kermit N. Pilgreen Jr. and his wife Sue of Lake Charles, and sister Ruth Ann Couch and husband Bobby of Bernice. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces, nephews and friends,
as well as his faithful dog Toby.
A graveside service was held Sat. November 11, 2017.The family and friends fellowship meal was held at Pine Grove fellowship room followed by a memorial service led by Bro David Martin and assisted by Bro. Steve Barrett at graveside at Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearer was his great-nephew Logan Kimbell.
