SHREVEPORT, LA- William "Bill" Lapcevic went to be with his Lord on November 12, 2012 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

Visitation will be held at Rose-Neath Southside Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 starting at 2:00 p.m. until the Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Officiating will be Dr. Murray Hodge and Reverend Billy Crosby.

Bill was born in Export, PA to Carrie and Nick Lapcevic. He graduated high school in Export. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He earned his BS degree in Business Administration from Northeast Louisiana State College and worked 31+ years for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent.

Bill was a faithful member and deacon at Summer Grove Baptist Church. He sang in the choir and served on numerous committees and was a Royal Ambassador leader for many years. He was a quiet and gentle man that lived his faith every day.

Bill loved his family and was a devoted and caring husband, Dad and Papa.

Bill's parents and sister, Delores Stankovich preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Jackie of fifty-four years, daughter Lori Sandifer, son William Anthony Lapcevic, three grandchildren, William Brooks Buckles, Jessica Buckles and Wesley Sandifer and one great-granddaughter Tegha Stough, one brother Michael Lapsevic and wife, Diane and two sisters Elaine Leix and Betty Hinson and husband, Wayne. A special sister-in-law Nelda Neal and husband Marvin and several nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Four Seasons Sunday School Class at Summer Grove Baptist Church.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation and thanks to Dr. Randy Del Mundo, and St. Joseph's Hospice and caring staff, especially Shirley Carter.
