Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Judith Valerie Moore Hutto, age 84, of West Monroe, LA will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2:00PM at Shiloh Baptist Church in Bernice, LA, with Bro. Scott Jennings and Bro. Gene Benson officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.

Valerie was born November 10, 1928 in Bernice, LA and passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Glenwood Hospital in West Monroe, LA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard B. Moore, Sr. and Chloe Gilbert Moore; and her brothers, Clyde Moore, Roy Moore, Clayton Moore, Hailard Moore, Sr., H.B. Moore, Jr. and Buddy Moore.

Valerie, a homemaker, was a resident of the West Monroe Guest House since 1999. Her own description of the Guest House was she loved every minute of it and considered the staff and residents there part of her family.

Survivors are her daughter, LaFreida Hutto Hudleston and husband, Scott of Calhoun, LA; her sons, Paul Hutto of Conroe, TX; and Glenn Hutto and wife, Aleta, of Farmerville, LA. Grandchildren are Petey Griggs and wife, Buffy, of West Monroe, LA; Toby Averette of West Monroe, LA; Kaysi Hutto of Calhoun, LA; Paula Kay Hutto of Calhoun, LA; and Alese Jennings and husband, Jared, of Farmerville, LA. Great Granddaughter is Maegan Ann Griggs of West Monroe, LA.

Pallbearers are John Wortham, Pepper Green, Toby Averette, Scott Hudleston, Bradley Jones and Jamie Brantley.

Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Griggs, Petey Griggs, Jimmy Averette and Tommy Williams.

The family wishes to thank the West Monroe Guest House for their excellent care for the past 14 years and the doctors and nurses at Glenwood Hospital and Hospice Compassus.

Visitation is 5-8PM Tuesday at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
