James Arlie "Man" O'Bryant III, 31, a resident of the Thomas community, died at 10 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 in an automobile accident.
Born Aug. 24, 1978, he was an equipment operator with the La. Dept. of Transportation. He was an avid hunter and member of the Adams Creek Hunting Club. He was well known for the beagles that he raised and sold.
He is survived by his parents, A.J. and Gloria Creel O'Bryant of Thomas; two sisters: Amy O'Bryant and Jerry Hughes of Pine, and Mandy O'Bryant and Blade Hobgood of Tylertown, Miss.; tow brothers: Joe (Melissa) O'Bryant of Thomas and Brian (Adrian) O'Bryant of Pine; grandparents, Arlie O'Bryant of Thomas, O.B. Creel of Hackley, and Betty and John Erwin of Franklinton; four nieces: Kelsey Hughes, Kaitlyn Hughes, Kimberlyn Hughes and Alyssa O'Bryant; five nephews: Jerron Hughes, Christopher O'Bryant, Matthew O'Bryant, Braisyn O'Bryant and Payton O'Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elsie O'Bryant.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 19 at Crain Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and continued on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Denny Brumfield, Rev. Eric Williams and Rev. Jerry Cox officiating. Burial followed in the Thomas Cemetery.
