Funeral services for Dallas Burns Hanna, age 95 of Ruston, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with Brother Benji Pitts officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery near Bernice under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston.

Dallas passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Ruston. He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and continued his civil service work for another 20 years with Louisiana Tech. Beloved husband, cherished father and devoted grandfather, his family cherished his gracious personality, quick wit and love of his iconic pipe. However, his greatest love was his wife of 52 years, Barbara. Together they raised a family with the most unconditional love two people could share. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Burns Hanna and Ethel Maude Hanna and a daughter, Tawanna Pilgreen.

Dallas is survived by his wife Barbara Hanna; children Lana and husband Gale Noe; Barbara and husband Cary Zeagler; Debra and husband Rod Gilbert; Shelly and husband Luey O’Rear; Johnny Pilgreen and wife Tammy and Tonya Hanna. He was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cary Zeagler, Johnny Pilgreen, Adam Pilgreen, Dallas Herring, Mark Morales and Johnny Martin.

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Owens Memorial Chapel.
