Funeral services for Mr Travis Leon Johnston, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be 2pm Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Liberty Grove Church of God in West Monroe, Louisiana with Brother Steve Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Grove Church of God Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service Tuesday at the church.

Mr Johnston was born February 2, 1932 in Clarks, Louisiana and passed from this life on November 19, 2016 at his home in West Monroe, Louisiana at the age of 84. He was a paste maker by trade, he enjoyed deer hunting, restoring old tractors and spending time talking with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents W R and Tennessee Johnston; sister Sybol Whitlock; and great grandson Travis Cane Mayhall.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years Dianne Johnston of West Monroe; three children Kathy Porter & husband Billy Joe of Jonesboro, Louisiana, Dennis Johnston & fiancé Amy Wilson of West Monroe and Chelsea Alford of West Monroe; four grandchildren, Issac Howell, DeSay Howell, Jessica Gregory and Amanda Johnston; five great grandchildren, Peyton, Remington, Rainey, Hampton and Harper; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Coughran, Charlie Ray Coughran, Ben Aaron, Randall Gregory, Darron Peterson and Sawyer Mayhall; honorary pallbearers, Chad and Caleb Coughran, and Ben Lawrence.
