William Edward “Bud” Hamilton Funeral Services for William Edward “Bud” Hamilton, 92, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Lapine Assembly of God Church with Rev. Gary Hamilton, Rev. Gene Benson and Rev. Clint Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Lapine Assembly of God Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.Mr. Hamilton was born on August 16, 1922 and passed away on May 26, 2015. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II and the United States Air Force during the Korean War. As an Electrical Engineer he helped install the first radar system in the South Pacific that was crucial in helping win the war. Bud was preceded in death by his parents (Dewey and Blanche); daughter (Patty); two sisters (Mildred and Ada Lea); brother (Travis).Survivors include his wife, Paula Hamilton; two daughters, JoAnn Rowls and Susie LaForge; step-children, Clint, Curtis and Catura Hood; brother, Rev. Gary Hamilton; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Sammy Wilson, Ray Lenard, Jack Kent, Artis Caraway, Darrell Caraway and Dusty Hamilton.Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Lapine Assembly of God Church.
