Funeral services for Mr. James H. (Jimmy) Ambrose, age 82, of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Douglas United Methodist Church, Officiating the service will be Rev. Jeremy Jones.
Interment will follow at Douglas Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.
Mr. Ambrose was born August 17, 1930 and passed away October 16, 2012.
Mr. Ambrose was a member of Douglas United Methodist Church; he spent most of his working years as a truck driver. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who was affectionately known as "Catfish" to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Ambrose of Ruston, LA; son: Todd Ambrose and wife Mischa of Pearl, MS; brothers: Dick Ambrose and Donald Ambrose; sister: Effie Mae Touchstone; grandchildren: Dustin Ambrose and wife Haylee and Taylor Ambrose.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Touchstone, Dustin Ambrose, Taylor Ambrose, Dwain Elliott, Andy Gibson, and Scott Touchstone.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy's dominoe buddies and Rick Elliott.
