He enlisted February 26, 1862 at Tallapoosa, Alabama. His name appeared on the register for Way Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi, dated January 7, 1865, as wounded and on furlough. His name later appeared on a roster of Prisoners of War paroled May 19, 1865, at Montgomery, Alabama.
