Funeral services for Edward Everritt will be on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, Louisiana. Reverend Purvis Rodrigues will officiate. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, Louisiana under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mr Everritt was born August 1, 1946 in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on February 13, 2016 in West Monroe. He was a retired business owner, cattle rancher, and a veteran of the United States Army.

A dog lover, guitar player, and dominoes enthusiast, Eddie enjoyed cheering on the Rebels after graduating from WMHS in 1964. He also was an avid Tiger fan, after receiving his BS in Agribusiness from LSU in 1974.

“Big Ed” was a storyteller and jokester, and a loving father to all his girls.

He is preceded in death by his parents, H T Everritt and Katie Mae Holstead Everritt.

Mr Everritt is survived by his daughters, Jessica Gay and husband Trent Gay of Gardner, Kansas, Katie Everritt of Austin, Texas, Kimberly Roach and husband Robert Roach of Choudrant, Louisiana, Hannah Lewis and husband Tony Lewis of Walker, Louisiana and Betsie Jane Everritt of Kigali, Rwanda; five grandchildren (Melodie, Matthew, Dawson, Anna, and Mason), sister Jane Nelson of West Monroe, Louisiana, sister, Melinda Johnston and husband Reverend Chuck Johnston of Dubach, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Trent Gay, Robert Roach, and Tony Lewis.

The family extends special thanks to Mike Shaw and the staff at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans home in Monroe, Louisiana.
