Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jo Keys Harrelson-Sawyer, 78, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 8, 2012 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. James Gardner officiating. Interment will be in Hasley Cemetery.

Mrs. Sawyer died June 5, 2012 at the West Monroe Guest House.

Betty was born January 20, 1934 in Winnsboro, LA and lived in West Monroe for over 57 years. She was a member of the McClendon Baptist Church, where she served her Lord as a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir. She retired from J. C. Penney's with over 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Levi Harrelson and Alvin B. Sawyer, her parents, Lonnie and Rosa Keys, brother, Buckey Keys and brother-in-law/friend, Odis Arnold.

Survivors: Son, Mike Harrelson and his wife, Vickie M. Harrelson; step-grandson, Michael David Spillers, and great grandson, Brendan Spillers; two sisters, Wanda Joy Arnold and Margueritte Reed and her husband, Clifton; brother, Kenneth Keys and wife, Maurice; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Gates, Arnold Walker, Buck Brister, James Keys, Percy A. Ford, Jr., and Ron Barfield.

Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, she would request you make donations to the Children's Ministry of McClendon Baptist Church, as she always said they are our future.
