Miss Tollett was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and the salutatorian of her class. She graduated from NLU with a degree in elementary education. She was a 5th grade teacher at Green Elementary School in Clear Creek, TX and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Nolan E. Tollett, Sr.; and her maternal grandfather, George M. Stirrat.
She was survived by her parents, Dr John and Kathleen Tolett of Chatham; her brother, Roland Wayne Tollett of Chatham; her paternal grandmother, Mirian S Tollett of Baton Rouge; her maternal grandmother of Barbara P Stirrat of Baton Rouge; aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.
